We also discussed peninsulas.
The large peninsula on which Greece is located is called the Aegean Peninsula. There are many smaller peninsulas within Greece, including the Peloponnesian Peninsula (where Sparta is located).
Virginia is not itself a peninsula, but we discussed the large number of peninsulas that extend from the east coast of Virginia into the Chesapeake Bay.
